This warning indicates that a sink has reported delivery errors. These errors can delay downstream updates; the alert alone does not establish data loss. Use the cluster and sink name in the alert to locate the affected sink.

Find the error and assess the impact

  1. Open the affected cluster in the Cloud dashboard.
  2. Go to Data Catalog > Sinks and open the sink named in the alert. Check its errors, Throughput, and Sink Latency over a time range starting before the alert. If you cannot access these details, ask your cluster administrator or Cloud support for help.
  3. Check whether the destination is receiving fresh data. Compare with other sinks to determine whether the interruption affects one destination or a shared downstream service.

Resolve the reported problem

Use the error message to choose the next step: Correct the identified downstream problem and monitor delivery. See Source and sink troubleshooting for additional diagnosis. Consult support before recreating a sink or skipping records, because replay behavior depends on the connector and configuration. If errors have stopped and delivery is progressing normally, continue monitoring; no further corrective action is needed. If errors persist, you cannot identify the cause, or production data delivery is affected, contact the RisingWave Cloud support team. Include the cluster and region, sink name, alert time, representative error messages with credentials removed, and recent destination changes.

Confirm recovery

Confirm that no new errors appear, Throughput resumes when there is data to deliver, Sink Latency returns toward its normal baseline, and the destination receives fresh results. A cleared alert or missing metrics alone do not prove that delivery recovered.

Applicability

This alert applies to clusters running RisingWave v1.7.1 or later.
